I am sorry to be extra quiet here lately. Lots has been going on, but I am also back to feeling pretty terrible most of the time. Interestingly, as I have started to be me open about it with my friends here, a surprising number have told me that they too were never sicker than their first year here in The Netherlands. In fact, one person termed it The Hague Plague.
I still think it is allergies, given that I was feeling much better over the winter, and my symptoms just ramped up again in March. The doctors haven’t/won’t order additional allergy testing. But thankfully, they were willing to prescribe me some allergy and nausea medication which seem to be helping some.
With a planned trip back to Houston this summer, heading to the allergist for full testing will be on the to do list.
