Our second adventure came during the fall school break. It is a thing here, and we found out it is in the UK too. There they call it half term. I pulled up cheap flights on Google and let the resident teenager pick – she chose London over Krakow.
Someone in my travel club let me know about the explore option on Google Flights, if you haven’t tried it, you need to. You add your departure airport and when you want to go, and then Google gives you some options based on price. It was a great way to get suggestions on places I might not of thought of.
We had all been to London, but our daughter was too small and didn’t remember any of it. The trip was tailored to her, with lots of Instagram worthy locations and shopping. My choices for the trip were the day trip to Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and Oxford, and two shows Six and Come from Away. The benefits of only being an hour away by plane.

It was a great adventure, and now time to figure out where we go next.
