This weekend my husband went to pick up some furniture that we bought from a soon-to-be departing expat. So now we have two beds – the most important piece of furniture. The master bed was actually part of a whole set including two bedside tables and a wardrobe. But then we were struck with the curse of the Dutch staircase.
Despite taking apart each item, the wardrobe would just not go up the stairs. So now we have our first piece of furniture in the dining area.
I don’t think this is a great place for it, so I am think I am going to turn it into a bar cabinet and move it down closer to the seating area.
Hopefully moving other furniture in after we arrive will be a bit smoother. Cross your fingers.
