Moving from one place to the other is hard. Moving across an ocean, that is a whole other version of hard.
Now let me say, I know this adventure is an incredible opportunity, both for my husband work wise, but also for our family. And we are also very lucky to have a lot of professionals guiding us through this who have helped many other families. For them it is very routine, but it is not routine for me.
When we moved a mere 8-minute drive from one house to the other, I had a spreadsheet. When the idea of this move came about I pulled out my trusty move spreadsheet and dusted it off, adding new things like visas, storage, language classes.
